california weather can be very strange sometimes.  after the tumultuous rain and hail, it was perfectly quiet and a rainbow came out.

• when two ladies started having a vehement argument that "burberry glasses never go on sale" and that a customer must have been lying, even with the "sale" tag clearly marking a pair.  one of the ladies was the cashier who was ringing me up and she temporarily forgot about me as she argued.  it was amusing.
• the "lady of the night" i drove past on a crowded, busy street.  form fitting mini-dress?  check.  five inch stillettos?  check.  looking like she has nothing better to do than stand out in 100°+ degree weather on a sidewalk?  check.
• a policeman on a segway, patrolling.  s e g w a y.  the only thing that would have made it better is if i actually had my camera and asked to take a picture of him.  or told him that i think the pink segways are cuter.  hehe.
• imagine, if you will:  water running across artfully placed rocks for half a block, lined by trees lit by white holiday lights.  familes and couples alike lounging in 75 degree weather when the sun has gone down, basking in the reflected heat of the concrete.  a mini-traincar that goes about with wee passengers that i so wanted to sit in.  where can you find this?  at victoria gardens, of course.
• pets in purses being carried as accessories.  real pets, not just me imagining my kitty in a wearable "accessory"!  meeeeeooooooooooow!
• random guy who got up on stage to sing (badly) at a gathering at a club for my sister's friend's grandchildren that were singing.  his skin looked like george hamilton and his red shirt was unbuttoned almost to his belly button and he danced like davido's play that funky music white boy.  priceless.
